Career Philosophy

Commitment to lifelong learning. Up to date knowledge and skills are an essential ingredient to optimizing patient care regardless of role. All staff members have important experiences/knowledge and skills to bring to their role and the sharing of information makes the workplace richer. Communication between colleagues, the ability to empower and support those around me is vital to promote team culture. I aim to provide holistic person centred patient care in an equal and equitable manner aligned with The Treaty of Waitangi. Respect for patients and staff, always. Use of evidence based practice guides my practice. Population health based on individual and collective community need is integral to the care delivered to patients.
