As a teacher's aide in a Year 3 and 4 class, I primarily support a young boy with autism. My responsibilities include working with him one-on-one to enhance his skills in areas such as mathematics, writing, handwriting, and reading. Additionally, I focus on helping him develop essential daily life skills. When I'm not working directly with him, I assist other students with their learning, particularly in reading, writing, and math. I also conduct testing and assessments with the students. I collaborate closely with the teacher to ensure we effectively meet the diverse needs of all students, fostering their academic success. • Provided first aid and emergency response as required, prioritizing student health and safety at all times.
• Fostered a positive environment for students, effectively addressing any behavioral issues that arose during before and after school care.
