My responsibilities include processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, calculating deductions and benefits, and resolving any payroll discrepancies. I also ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, provide payroll reports to management, and handle payroll-related inquiries from employees.
  • Before transitioning to the payroll role, I worked as an Accounts Administrator, where I gained extensive experience in financial record-keeping, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. This background provided a solid foundation for my current position, allowing me to efficiently handle the complexities of payroll management.
  • Additionally, I served in a 0.5 position as the Executive Assistant to the CEO and the board, where I developed strong organizational and communication skills. This role required a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. My experience in this position has been invaluable in my current role, particularly in terms of stakeholder management and process improvement.

  • Furthermore, I completed a course in iwi data sovereignty through an organization called Poipoia, earning micro-credentials. This course provided me with insights into the importance of data governance and the ethical management of indigenous data, enriching my understanding of data handling and privacy in payroll operations.
  • Overall, my diverse background and continuous professional development enable me to effectively manage the organization's payroll and contribute to its financial health and operational efficiency.
