My name is Keita Elliott, and I am a graduate from the University of Otago. I currently hold a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Education and minoring in Indigenous Studies. I have experience in teaching, sports coaching, management and development, childcare, and hospitality. I am confident, organized, social, hard-working, and a quick learner who is eager to learn new things. Through my passionate nature and 'can-do' attitude, I am always striving to motivate others and drive for success. I am passionate about education and sport and am eager to grow my career further in the education sector.
Hockey - I have always had a passion for sport and have been involved in team sport throughout my whole life, both coaching and playing. After leaving school, I had to balance university, work, and hockey, where I have played on multiple teams at multiple tournaments, including the National Hockey Championship for both Otago and Counties Manukau, and the National Māori Hockey Tournament, where I represent Tamaki Makaurau. In 2025, I was selected to be apart of the New Zealand Premier Hockey League, where I was on a contract with the Southern Cross Tridents. I have also played at an international level for the New Zealand Māori hockey team in various tri-series, and I also represented New Zealand at the FIH Hockey Fives World Cup in Oman at the beginning of 20244
