I am highly proficient in using MYOB & Xero accounting, Indesign & Marq graphic design software, Wordpress website design, social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram & Google advertising & Microsoft Office products. I am a versatile and quick learner in new technologies & platforms.
At Fish & Game I have shown resilience and ambition by taking on the role on Interim Manager for a organisation in a field I know very little about - Fishing & Duck shooting. I have worked hard to rectify many dysfunctional issues, but my true passion is in marketing & event management which is why I am looking for a more suitable role.
Six years owning a nursery business that grew from a backyard operation to a 2 acre nursery in Waipukurau, which faced challenges with no on site water (un-viable bore) traffic issues with Waka Kotahi and the Covid 19 pandemic. Then relocating that business to Dannevirke, developing a 5 acre site with the nursery, garden centre, display gardens and cut flower beds. Sadly more challenges with 2 wet years and a cost of living crisis meant the business was no longer viable.
At Mitre 10 MEGA I took the main events of The Megawalk and grew the attendance from 700 participants to over 2000. Ladies Nights grew from 250 attendance to 900 (store capacity) 3 years in a row, the largest in Ladies Night in the country. I developed a unique event with the HB Magpies where fans could get up close and personal with their favourite players.
