  • Previously Contracted Role at PowerCo office in New Plymouth, my role consisted of managing the PowerCo infrastructure
  • Creating and managing VM’s via a 2016 Hyper-V Clustered environment using SCVMM, fail over cluster manager and Hyper-V
  • Managing the Netapp San infrastructure in terms of presenting CSV to the Hyper-V clusters, Lun/Volume management, upgrades, and general maintenance
  • Latest completed project was to deploy a full live infrastructure monitoring solution which I completed with NAbox Virtual appliance, Grafana and Influx dB This has also been published to the wider company via zscaler
  • My goals are to upskill as much as possible, currently training with Jenkins, Ansible and GitHub, to get a good understanding of Dev-ops and CICD technologies including PowerShell DSC

  • Union Bank UK plc, a UK incorporated bank, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Union Bank of Nigeria plc, one of the oldest and most respected banks in West Africa
  • Working alongside the current IT Manager and COO to create strategies and manage existing and upcoming projects relating to core business functionality
  • Taking a proactive stance in cyber security using latest tools available such as alien vault with real time threat protection process notifications of suspected threats, breeches or vulnerabilities
  • Daily report pull for all AV protection on the network via MacAfee’s EPolicy Orchestrator platform to assess vulnerabilities within machines, servers and devices on the network and have these tied down and compliant within a timely manner
  • Demonstrating a lead role in the business continuity for Union Bank, we are currently using VMware virtual machines and virtual appliances alongside the flat network between our main site and our DR location
  • With daily snapshots being acquired and replicated to the off-site DR location via Veeam and VMware, we are able to have these machines fired up at a moment’s notice should we experience failures with only a few moments downtime for failover
  • These systems are currently tested and apply critical updates, and vulnerability checks once a month, 2 weeks after patch Tuesday for MS products to ensure stability after sandbox testing of updates is complete
  • We invoke a full DR scenario once annually which is document processed and assessed against current kpis.
  • Procedures are reviewed and assessed after each DR test scenario to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of systems
  • The most recent project I have been lead in is the MDM project for Union Bank
  • From product review, testing and liaising with resellers to gain best possible pricing
  • The MDM project has also by myself been implemented into the current environment and rolled out to all company devices enabling secure management of all company mobile devices invoking full mobile compliance according to EU GDPR regulations
