Kieran Dhanji

Recently I have been doing volunteering at an organisation called Sunday Blessings. They give out food bags every Sunday to homeless people in need.

• Carried in food packages delivered from food trucks back inside
• Packaged 200+ food bags (not individually) to hand out with, various different foods and drinks such as a hot meal like burgers or hot dogs, bread, fruit, a treat like biscuits or cookies, and a drink like orange juice
• Helped in the kitchen by washing dishes, drying dishes, sweeping floors and various other small tasks

From April to September, I coached a team of year 7 footballers across an 18 game season. I showed up to both trainings and games after school and on Sunday mornings. It was great to watch them develop across the season and improve on their mistakes and weaknesses after games at training.

• Organised training plans to both improve the team as well as having fun at the same time.
• Based trainings on weaknesses shown during games to identify strengths and weaknesses for strategic planning.
• Refereed some matches
• Showed the kids specific aspects they need to work on individually
