Summary

A Chartered Professional Engineer, Kieran has 25 years’ national and international experience in large scale infrastructure project management. With this strong technical skillset he has contributed strong leadership to drive the successful delivery of numerous Seipp projects. These include the high-profile Wilkins Road Pump Station and Pipeline project for Ashburton District Council. On this project, Kieran’s exceptional planning, leadership skills and customer-first focus were to the fore. Construction of large diameter pipeline below the Ashburton River benefited from his proven ability to develop programmes and use these as a tool to drive completion to specified quality and agreed timeframes. More recently, as Senior Project Manager, Kieran has led projects for Christchurch City Council including installation of new water supply wells at Mays Road, and the Aston, Parklands and Woolston Wellhead Upgrades. These works to upgrade Christchurch’s water supply infrastructure include connections into ductile iron pipework. Of relevance to the Eastern Terrace water main, Kieran is currently installing a large diameter socket and spigot pipeline in sheet piled trenches to depths of 3.5m to 5m, as will be the case at Heathcote. He also project managed the construction of a water reservoir and associated pipeline at the Wilmers Road Pump Station. This project is an example of Kieran’s expertise in development of detailed methodologies and ability to integrate innovative thinking with practical construction expertise. Construction of the reservoir and steel pipework was completed successfully, including extensive chlorination and bacto testing so the facility could be accepted by Christchurch City Council and water allowed enter the reticulation system. An experienced Contractor’s Representative, Kieran is committed to working proactively and openly, to keep his clients informed and updated to drive best-for-project outcomes. With his knowledge of daily construction activities, including large diameter pipelines and water infrastructure, Kieran is skilled in driving successful delivery in line with quality, programme, and budget requirements.
