Profile

My name is Kimly Heng. I joined early childhood education inspired by my daughter Anna 9 years ago. I complete my Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) level 7 at Unitec. I am confident I will learn much from this journey with fellow Kaiako, tamariki and whanau.

I believe each child is unique and special, just the way they are, and I pride myself in having a close relationship with all tamariki, whanau, and the teaching team. I love to aspire to empower children on their learning journey to become lifelong learners, secure in their sense of belonging, resilience, self-worth, and ability to explore the wider world around them. I encourage each child to be a leader in their learning and seek to scaffold and extend their interests. I regard each child as taonga, exclusive and precious, and I will value their contribution to our community.
