KIRENA WHETU HAEREWA

I have a compassionate disposition with a strong sense of responsibility. Since I can remember I have helped care for my special needs brother named Aihe, he is 23 years old. Aihe has Kleefstra Syndrome and requires assistance 24/7. Learning to take care of him has given me empathy and many practical skills.

During the school holidays I have also been chosen to do manual labour at Ben Holden's farm, Kiwifruit Picking, Getting firewood & laying mat tiles out at the Events Cemtre. All of this work was supervised by one of my Teachers (Matua Walton Sadlier) and completed in Gisborne, NZ.
