Summary

Tēna koe, I am a motivated and diligent professional with 10 + years experience teaching students with wide range of learning abilities. My teaching philosophy is focused on building positive connections with students and whanau to strengthen the relevance and engagement of content that I plan and deliver. I enjoy motivating students and those around me towards achieving shared goals and inspiring others to see how they can be a part of change improvement in their own whanau and community. The connection through working towards common causes and act of contributing to our communities enhances individual and collective wellbeing. I am confident using basic Te Reo Māori and being raised in Kaikohe I have experience with tikanga Māori and feel very comfortable in this space. My experience with conservation has been in volunteer capacity, yet I have endeavored to incorporate conservation and environmental education into my classroom practice where I can. I am fit and healthy. My hobbies include kayaking and hiking for up to four days.
