General Cable - 2003 to 2017

  • Started off my career as a cablemaker, manufacturing electrical cables. Operating complex machinery, quality assurance and testing of cables electrical durability
  • Developed from that position to team leader and then production leader, having four team leaders report to me directly and being responsible for approximately 70 staff members at the time
  • Health and Safety representative for over 10 years
  • Made redundant in 2017 due to site closure
