Summary

Taxation Manager, managing compliance and advisory services for high net worth individuals and global mobility clients. CTA qualified with 10 years of tax experience. I have 5 years experience specialising in New Zealand tax within our people services team. The roles is a mix of compliance and advisory work for a diverse portfolio of global mobility clients, individuals and high net worth individuals. Prior to relocating to New Zealand, I worked in UK Private Client Tax for five years. I am now seeking to relocate back to the UK from New Zealand.

  • Responsibilities: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including global mobility clients, individuals, and high-net-worth individuals. Prepare complex tax returns as needed and delegate tasks effectively to junior staff. Review and sign off tax returns. Although limited; prepare trust, partnership, and company returns where required. Prepare GST returns for HNWI. Review and prepare shadow payroll filings. Provide tax briefings for cross-border employees and individuals. I have a good understating of tax residence, tax equalization, double taxation agreements, and foreign tax credits with regards to my Global mobility clients.
  • Preparation of tax advice which include; residence reviews, permanent establishment risks, employee and employer reporting obligations, fringe benefit tax, structuring advice regarding income streams, trusts, and company residence, personal tax advice. Collaborate with other teams, such as Corporate and International Tax, to provide joint advice and explore cross-selling opportunities, including working with overseas offices. Provide internal tax advice to the business. Assist enquiries/rulings with the tax authorities, including preparation of voluntary disclosures.
  • Regularly review WIP and billing, considering the commercial aspects and discussing fees as necessary.
  • Review and assist with internal processes. Assist with setting up training for the team. Supervise and coach junior staff, manage their performance, and share knowledge. Work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines, manage team deadlines, and gather related information and statistics.
