From working at Paperfish - fish and chips, to Subway, to Cortados - restaurant and bar, they have all had one main thing in common that has interested me, customer service. I love being the person to make a customers day and knowing they left my work place fully satisfied. Paperfish was a good place for me to be introduced to the hospitality environment. I worked up front with the customers on the till and learned how to deal with all kinds of customers, good or bad. Then, not to long after I moved on from fish and chips and decided to take a job at subway. Similar to Paperfish, I worked up at the till and did lots of customer service work but also creating their popular menu items. I really enjoyed being able to chat to all kinds of customers and how I can satisfy their needs. After working there for a short while I began to not enjoy creating the sandwiches and realized that I preferred being up at the till or selling products more than creating the actual product. I still continued working their as I wanted to give it my best shot. That was until I got offered a job I had been looking at for a long time, even before Paperfish, Cortados - Restaurant & Bar. I was offered a position there while having lunch with my friends one day. I have had a position offered to me before that, a while before Paperfish but the job fell through it as it was over a new outbreak of Covid. So, while being in Cortados for lunch, Kody (the manager), came over and asked if I would like a position there. I had further meetings with him and he offered me a front of house position. I then resigned from Subway and took Kody's offer. I really enjoyed being on my feet and helping customers however I could. I took orders, ran food, got to build customer relationships and meet different people. My position mainly consisted of running food and drinks, pouring beers, making (non alcoholic) drinks, cleaning up, taking orders, memorizing orders, and keeping the customers happy. I then had a sudden move back to Christchurch, that led me to unfortunately leave Cortados. I then didn't work all of 2023 and I was settling in to my move and the sudden change. I'm not in school anymore and am ready to get back into work full time.
I'm very creative and love all things art. Im a singer songwriter, I play guitar and piano and record my music in my home studio and a professional recording studio. I've signed my first contract and I'm going to be a part of a few people chosen for an Artist development program for 2025. I love photography and social media and capturing the moment. I also love fashion. I'm always trying to stay up to date with trends and have really coordinated outfits. I used to take sewing classes and create my own clothes witch I don't do as much anymore but still love.
