PERSONAL SKILLS

  • Communication I communicated strongly with my co-partner regarding librarian management, as we worked well together as a team and discussed effectively how we could improve happenings of the library.
  • Management During my time as head librarian, I supervised over 60 student librarians which demonstrated my management and organisation skills. Including interviewing, hiring and training staff.
  • Leadership As a head librarian, I managed the day-to-day operations of the library. Including returning and issuing books and assisting students with resources. I consistently created a safe space for students, which highly demonstrated my leadership skills.
  • Positive attitude During my role as a head librarian, I was very approachable, which meant students could look to me for advice and support.
