I am an inclusive passionate, fun early childhood kaiako, who loves to teach and learn from children.
I have a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Bi-cultural practice, te reo māori and tikanga are professional and personal interests and something I am passionate about.
I embrace diversity, I pride myself in having knowledge of whakapapa, knowing who children are, where they are from and how they identify in language and culture. I am currently learning NZSL, New Zealand sign language.
I especially appreciate the outdoors. I have a love of nature and using natural resources. The natural environment is fundamental to my teaching practice.
Whanaungatanga - relationships and Manakitanga - care and respect for others is central to my early childhood teaching practice.
