Summary

My teaching philosophy is based on the importance of building positive relationships with learners, their family and the community to enhance students' learning. I believe in creating a safe and culturally responsive classroom environment where each unique individual is celebrated. I believe in integrating a teaching approach which is based on student agency and creating pathways for my students to lead and take ownership of their own learning. Therefore, supporting students to develop confidence in their own abilities, strengthen resilience, build high expectations of themselves, create positive attitudes and develop a love of learning so that they can become global citizens of the world and lifelong learners. Curriculum Integration is an area I am extremely passionate about and I believe in using inquiry foci that are dynamic and engaging, to encourage students to be curious and critical thinkers.
