The morning starts with myself or a college putting new ice on the counter, checking which fish and other goods keep the date using lists, smelling, and tasting, etc. Then we drive the cart to sales points and start selling. the day ends with me taking inventory of what goods are left and ordering new ones for the coming day that I consider necessary. Sending a picture of this to our buyer and contacting an outside wholesaler from whom we order vegetables. finally, I calculate how much we have received in cash and print the cash report.
Prints paper on orders that the seller has clicked in are ready to ship. Picks the various articles in the warehouse, several times a day it is necessary to use a forklift to take goods down from the rack. Packages the goods and delivers the orders via the data programs Visma and N-Shift. Attaches packing slip and address card. then has a contact with the supplier from, for example, DHL which pallets/packages they should take with them. Makes arrival checks of goods and takes inventory of existing goods in the warehouse. Marks goods and pallets with our own article numbers and names via Word on the computer.
Some days I cooked in the kitchen in case the kitchen was understaffed. Otherwise, my main job was to take inventory of the drinks and let my manager know what needed to be ordered in to the bar. Responsible for training new colleagues in the service and in the bar. Went and picked up the drinks and food orders with the family's car. Responsible for making the schedule for the bar staff. Also deciding the drinks menu with my boss. I was also responsible for the phone and email on certain days for various reservations at the restaurant.
Worked mostly in the a la carte or in the buffet restaurant. In the a la carte, I had my own tables where I took orders, entered them on the computer and sent separate messages both to the kitchen and to the bar, so that they could make food and drinks respectively. In the meantime, I try to make sure that the guests have the best possible experience and am attentive to their wishes. After the guests have left, I wash and set new tablecloths and inform the butler when I am ready to receive new company at my tables.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with friends and family. Otherwise, I usually try to be physically active several days a week.
