Letisha Ward

I interned for a year at a non-profit film studio called Fantail Studios, created and run by, Jared van Berkel, before coming on full time as a member of the main team in 2024.

Through my time there, I learned a lot about video editing, creating a narrative, colour grading, broll and stock footage, and adding music and sound FX to enhance the story.

I edited a variety of testimony style videos as well as a live music album for the Activate church in Hamilton. I also played a key part in masking, blurring, and assisting in colour correction for Fantail Studios first ever feature length film, "Mana Atua - The Power of God."

I've learned customer service and people skills from my part-time job as a Service Station attendant at the Sefton NPD, and work well under pressure. I'm skilled at working both alone, and in team enviroments.

• I help run a weekly girls group in Sefton for ages 5-13 called Adventure seekers. I attend meetings, help with planning and organisation, and look after the girls and run activities.
• I was a Youth Leader for the Rangiora Baptist church where I would lead a small group every week through a bible study, games and activities before deciding to take a break.

• I did a six month digital media and design course at Ara, which I completed with an overall A+
• I did a six month creative writing course through the NZ Writers College at sixteen, which I completed with a Distinction.
