Recent Sailing Achievements

2nd place at 2024 29er nationals in New Zealand

Fifteenth at 2024 29er Euro cup in Poland

Throughout my whole life I have been drawn to photography and design and have a true passion for learning new thing and creating work that I am proud of. Half of my life is spent on the water, racing boats. I have recently jumped into a 49er Olympic Skiff boat and look to continue competing for the foreseeable future with the Olympic's and America's Cup as an end goal. 

 At Westlake in Year 13 I was able to take an Open Ground class which is exclusively taught at the school .  Open Ground is an entrepreneurship program which is built to support young entrepreneur's get a head start and learn business skills. This class had two hundred applications.  In this program I started a handmade carbon fibre sunglasses brand called Reeds. It targets water sport enthusiasts and sailors like myself.  This year I had to pitch to a dragons den style investors stand with real investors including Bill Smale and other successful business owners. I was also appointed a mentor for the year who has now offered to continue mentoring me this year due to the strong connection I was able to build as I would like to continue REEDS in the real world in a part time capacity. I believe that Open Ground truly made me a better person and taught me a lot about business.

During the week I also coach a youth sailors ages 13-16 at Kohi Yacht Club 2-3 days a week. A big reason I do this is to give back to the club and be one of the reasons younger sailors enjoy being out on the water.
