With just under 6 years of experience in a technical sales oriented role I pride myself on taking ownership of my role and helping the business and it's people to excel. Outside of work you will find me out on the water fishing/fiving, golfing or partaking in some form of fitness. My partner and I are very active and enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible, as well as spending time with family.
My current role is hybrid and diverse, we are a distributor and service centre for a vast range of agencies, in both Marine and Non-Marine, working B2B and B2C, electrical to engineering. Floating internally in a team of 4-5 while having a key focus on sales, being on the road visiting key clients and sales opportunities. I also work in the marketing space with our sponsored ambassadors along with providing technical knowledge to our marketing team. Fronting in videos or advertising we produce for key product lines both in house and externally. Running our mobile showroom (caravan) presentations at events or training seminars. Deep diving into new products or agencies and assisting product managers in running training for internal and external staff. Developing ways to sell products, understanding competition and our point of difference.
In the last year I have progressed out of my internal showroom manager role to focus more on the sales/marketing side of the business. Having a strong understanding of the products and a technical aptitude has allowed me to progress and become one of our key sales representatives within the team. Heading up high value sales opportunities for some of our key products, this could be high value single margin goods as well as large complex systems or solutions. Being exposed to both high net worth cliental as well as large OEM manufactures has given me the experience to handle a broad range of people and sales. Managing these enquiries and meetings has required the upmost professionalism and communication, we work with superyacht owners, business owners, B2B's and a wide range of tradesman.
Having hands on experience and technical knowledge of our product has allowed me to identify opportunities within a business and/or cash sales and provide complete satisfactory solutions for clients. Backing up our account managers is also part of my role, often being the first call and go to person for our key accounts on a wide range of our products. I pride myself on building strong relationships with clients, problem solving and providing excellent customer service and really working to grow both our business and theirs.
