Most recently, I was the Graduate Community Manager at Potentia, leading student and graduate initiatives. I have been instrumental in evolving the Taitamariki Potentia student community beyond a support network. I have led an executive committee that has supported over 500 students. From inception to completion, I have designed, facilitated and implemented events such as World Cafe's, mental health workshops, generational experiments and coaching sessions.
I have collaborated with the Marketing Manager and Project Manager, commissioning projects that provide students with real-life work experience, such as creating a website for the student community. I have fostered strong connections with both external and internal stakeholders, including the University of Auckland, IT clubs and societies and alternate higher education providers. In addition to this, I have supported students with employment preparation.
My strengths lie in maintaining professional relationships, acknowledging Te Ao Maori, and utilising the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in my work. I am confident in communicating with executive-level leaders, my team and students. I am very passionate about helping people become integral members of society.

I served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sydney Australia for a period of 18 months. The focus of this service was to promote faith, provide community service, and educational opportunities such as literacy and economic development. During this volunteer mission I gained life-long values and skills that have helped me in my day to day progress within my social and community work. Skills such as leadership, collaboratively working in a team, problem-solving and being versatile.
I was the President of the women's organisation in my local church. Our focus was to value and strengthen women within our communities. My responsibility was to provide opportunities for growth. I organised activities every 2 months to promote health, build positive relationships and to help women engage socially. Once a week I provide an open discussion forum we would discuss for example; working through family and personal challenges and how we can support and serve in our communities. It fosters skills such as actively listening, engaging, participating more intently. "Life lessons can be learned by quite simply, actively listening" - Lina
