Li Na Zhang-Chan

I am incredibly passionate about growing the number of women working in sustainable energy sector in NZ. I want to ensure that we have the brightest minds, solving the biggest problems, with the most advanced tools - and that means including both women and men in their design.

I am actively involved in championing STEM as a career of choice for other young people in Aotearoa. As part of my participation in the GirlBoss Edge Sustainability Challenge, I developed a professional pitch for the energy industry, showcasing my passion for sustainability, my leadership potential, and my commitment to creating a cleaner future.

I attained a certificate of Commendation from GirlBoss New Zealand and the following energy sector organisations.

• I have previously been employed at Sharper image and learnt many important things that will prove vital in future jobs. My employment started December 2022 and ended in May 2023. During this time, I gained a lot of skills ranging from customer service, working at the till and dealing with cash, scheduling appointments for clients, cleaning up equipment washing hair as well as also serving drinks.
