Over a decade with the Lincoln Police Department has honed my skills in emergency communications and technology support, with a particular emphasis on computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems. Our team has consistently delivered high-profile projects, leveraging attention to detail and problem-solving to enhance public safety communications. We've successfully upgraded and maintained systems that are critical to the community, ensuring operational effectiveness and reliability.
As the Technology Support Dispatch Supervisor, I launched the implementation of a new CAD system that significantly reduced response times. This initiative, executed in partnership with my team and various user agencies, showcased our collective dedication to service excellence. Our efforts have substantially advanced the Lincoln Emergency Communications Center's capabilities, reflecting our shared commitment to innovation and integrity in serving the community.

undefinedLincoln Police Department public Facebook Post June 28, 2022
"The Lincoln Police Department is proud to share that the 2021 Civilian Employee of the Year Aware was received by both Public Safety Dispatcher Supervisor Lisa Brown (right) and Lisa Pachunka (left)!
Both assigned to the Lincoln 911 Emergency Communications Center, during 2020 and 2021 they dedicated countless hours to the extensive project of transitioning to new computer aided dispatch software. That monumental effort included attending weeks of training, pouring through technical manuals and using their expertise to overcome the challenges that arise in any change in technology and meet the needs of the Communications Center. They then trained the Communications Center staff on the new software and procedures and worked a modified schedule to ensure one of them was onsite 24 hours a day for 5 days after launch!
Public Safety cannot fulfill their role without communications. PSD Supervisor Brown's and Senior PSD Pachunka's combined dedication and professionalism overseeing the implementation of a completely new communications system represents the best in the public service to the Lincoln Community. Congratulations to both of them on earning the Civilian Employee of the Year Award and thank you for all of your work!"
