Managers Assistant
Mining Equipment Supplies Ltd (MESL) is affiliated with Uuls Zaamar Ltd, a gold mining operation in Mongolia. MESL is responsible for sourcing, purchasing and supplying parts and equipment to be sent via container and DHL to support the efficient running of the gold mining operation for their season running from April through November.
- Assist Manager with duties required
- Sourcing and procurement of goods for mining.
- Xero entries of all sales and debtor invoices
- Bank reconciliations including excel spreadsheets
- General administration duties including fortnightly
- Wages for MESL staff
- General upkeep of MESL and Mongolian database
- Organize NZ staff for mining season including job
- Advertising and interviews, travel, visas, insurance and liaising with staff during season to ensure they have all requirements met while in Mongolia
MESL is also involved with various mining operations in NZ. I have been responsible for the monthly and fortnightly wages plus administration for Cold Gold Clutha Ltd (CGC). CGC operates a floating dredge on the Clutha River throughout the year.
In 2021 I worked in Mongolia for the season in the role of Store Warehouse Manager with a Mongolian staff of four. I was responsible for the efficient running of the warehouse ensuring that all parts and equipment were on-hand at all times. Rolling stock takes and various reporting were required. We worked 12 hour days 7 days a week. This was a challenging role and living in a camp style environment. Mongolia experiences -20 temps in the winter months and +40 temps in the summer months.
In 2022 I was again involved with the mine for staff training for the month of April.
In 2023 I worked at the mine during July and August as a fill-in role for the Store Warehouse Manage
