I have five years in the building industry and transferable skills which I believe would help me excel at this role. I have worked on both commercial and residential properties learning a vast majority of skills. I am a reliable, friendly and honest person who approaches any challenge with a positive attitude.   • Completed my apprenticeship in 2023 and have worked as a qualified carpenter since.
  • Supervised and trained apprentices.
  • Predominantly focused on residential work and new build projects.
  • Have worked closely beside other contractors including large companies such as Naylor Love and Gillies Group.
  • Have worked well with clients to acheive their desired end result.

Apprentice Carpenter

Maycroft Construction
  • Maycroft was my first full-time role out of college. I. began my apprenticeship with them and focused on learning as much as I could.
  • During my time at maycroft I focused mainly on commerical construction.
  • Some projects I worked on with Maycroft were St. James Theatre and Whenua Tapu Cemetery.
  • Worked closely with Site Foremen, Managers, and Project Managers, so I developed an understanding across the stages of a build (timelines, inspections, client meetings, and managing a team).
  • Although I enjoyed my time with Maycroft I was eager to gain residential experience to progress my apprenticeship so moved companies.

Customer Service

Hutt City New World
  • I worked part-time while studying at college.
  • This was a great first role for me to work well under pressure in a face paced work environment, dealing with people from all walks of life.
  • Developed a good relationship with customers, ensuring I provided an exceptional customer service experience.

Apprentice Carpenter

Kennedy Residential
  • Experience in Residential Building.
  • A tight knit team allowed me to get hands-on experience throught every aspect of the company and building projects.
  • I made sure throughout acheiving my apprenticeship and working through my assignments I had a good understanding of the importance of any job, big or small.
  • Gained experience in Roof Trusses, Wall Frames, Purlins, Flat Roofs, Insulation, Rondo, Steel Beams, Gib, and Ecoply.
  • Learned the importance of developing a good working relationship with the client and other trades to ensure the project went as smoothly as possible.
