Teenaa koe,
In the short time that I have been a Kaiako I know that I serve as the moemoeaa of my tupuna. To obtain and pass on our taonga, Te Reo Maaori me ona Tikanga.
Through my mahi I enjoy cultivating productive, trusting relationships with colleges, tauira and whaanau, that creates and sustains the vision of providing opportunities for aakonga to safely engage in Te Ao Maaori kaupapa that align with a school culture of high academic achievement and behavioral standards.
I understand that as Kaiako our influence can often serve as role models, so in turn my pedagogy has weaved in the whakaaro of Dame Whina Cooper - Take care of our children, take care of what they hear, take care of what they see. For how the children grow, so will the shape of Aotearoa".
