I am currently employed by a multi award winning financial advice business in Auckland who thrives on creating exceptionally happy clients whilst delivering clear and genuine financial advice. I have grown my role as a self starter constantly seeking to improve the business as a whole not just within the insurance division.

A highlight of my position below:

  • Sole charge of ensuring the business was running efficiently and ensuring processes were streamlined
  • Managing pipelines and workflows for the entire business including lending and investments portfolios(4-6 advisors) Building systems and process across the whole advice business
  • Compliance and complaints manager for the business
  • Regularly holding meetings with the team and training on how we can do better
  • Building strong relationships with our BDM’s and ensuring the business is up to date with regulations and training
  • In charge of hiring new employees – advertising and interviewing candidates
  • Sole charge of our overseas VA – from hiring her, training her from scratch, managing her daily workflow, constant training and upskilling
  • Rebuilding our insurance and refix process
  • Reviewing all sectors of the business and seeing how we can improve our customer experience
  • Implementing client gifts and reviews, company now has 75+ 5 star google reviews
  • Meeting with clients to take them through their applications ensuring full disclosure
  • Deep understanding of the insurance processes and underwriting terms
  • Competent in quoting across all main insurance providers and comparing providers and products
  • Supporting clients through the claim process
  • Completed the New advisors training with Partners Life – usually for financial advisors but accepted on special Merritt
  • Always proactively seeking opportunities within the existing client base
  • Managing underwriting pipelines for the business – in sole charge of clients from application through to policies being issued
  • Working with AIA,Asteron, Chubb, Partners Life, NIB and fidelity

I am fully trained in all store operations and have been over achieving my targets since joining. I believe the key to my success is genuinely caring about my customers needs and I thrive on exceeding expectations. This role gave me a great overall understand of the financial services industry, I learnt about lending, KiwiSaver and insurance, I loved the customer interaction of this role and it motivated me to be in a client focused career. My background in the Superyacht industry showed me an exceptional level of service that is now naturally part of my personality.

  • As a service stewardess you work very close with yacht owners and often travel with them to their residences all over the world
  • I have worked in teams of 6 up to teams of 60 crew so I am very versatile with my working environment.
