My name is Luke Mullins and although my experience may not be aligned with your industry I can garuntee my life experiences will definitely have carryover. In 2017 I was part of a 3 man shearing team who broke a world record for the most sheep shorn in an 8 hr day which stood for 7 years. The total was 1611. Eru Weeds 539, James Mack 518 and I shore 554.
This was a childhood dream come true and it doesn’t matter what industry I’m in I will give it my everything as I know exactly what hard work and discipline is all about.
My wife and I raise our 3 children with a few core morals in life, respect, honesty, hard work, love and empathy.
Contracted to shear sheep on a day to day basis and often asked to oversee the crew while working at multiple farms across the Waikato and king country areas.
Prior to purchasing the business in 2021 I contracted to Otorohonga shearing services as a handover period
I was employed as a Rigger in a factory manufacturing situation customising lifting and hauling apparatus for Logging, construction and heavy lifting industries
Since starting my shearing career as a 20 year old it has seen me work for many different contractors throughout nz, Australia, uk and Italy, as with nature of the shearing seasons I chased the Summers’s in different parts of the world while I was young and single until meeting my wife and settling down and having 3 children together. From 2008-2014 I worked for Neil Fagan then 2014-2017 with Otorohonga shearing services until a change in career to move to Shaws wire Ropes.
I have an extremely high work ethic and a professional attention to detail I will always go above and beyond what’s needed to get the job done
I am definitely a people person and would fit well with day to day interactions of customers
