Current farm Rosewill Dairies consists of three valley wiper pivots, six rotor rainer runs, and recently set point sprinklers have been installed in dry areas that were previously watered with rotational sprinklers that were moved daily. Currently, I have two full-time staff members, one casual employee, and myself.
Monthly meetings with the farm consultant and farm owner have been carried out since the start of my employment at Rosewill Dairies in 2019. This is predominantly the time I see the farm owner, proving us to be reliable and capable of operating efficiently without much oversight. Although good communication via mostly text weekly was maintained throughout my time of employment with Rosewill Diaries.
We pride ourselves on a clean and hygienic milking shed and surrounding areas.
This season, our SCC daily average is 114, very typical for our system, and attention to detail. Currently sitting at 94% days of excellence, with no grades so far, and looking very promising for hitting our production goals.
During our first season contracting on the current farm, we went grade-free and achieved Te Tihi for our co-op difference.
Our second season of contracting had similar achievements, but unfortunately, we received our first and only grade at the end of the season due to the freezing point, and we achieved Te Puku for our co-op difference.
190 tons of feed in the shed.
