Seeking a position on the Blast Crew – Open Pit Mining at Macraes. I’m a loyal, detail orientated, safety conscious, hard working team-player. Previously I’ve held an Approved Handlers Certificate and CSL for pyrotechnics and have experience working on large firework displays, handling Class 1 dangerous goods, securing magazines & exclusion zones, following site emergency procedures, and complying with NZ legislative requirements such as HSNO. In 2016 I personally designed and wrote a full display plan (safety and emergency procedures) and application for an ‘Outdoor pyrotechnics display compliance certificate’, leading to the display’s successful execution. As a chef I’ve had experience meeting weekly production targets and as a DSS Manager I’ve had heavy exposure to documentation, Health & Safety, and legislation compliance. However, my most recent role was computer based and I’m wanting to change careers, get out from behind a desk, and am keen to learn new skills.
