I am a 18 year old Māori / European female from Hornby, Christchurch New Zealand.

I left school early to get into the work force, My first and still current job was for Burger King New Zealand. Working here helped me gain some amazing skills that I then carried to my new, also current retail position at Red Rat Clothing. I have been working two jobs for the past six months, my reasoning for this decision was I was keen to try something new after being at my first job for nearly three years (as of now). I love the independence I gain from working and love making new work friends. I like and am always eager to achieve new things such as more skills and friends. I also am open to learning jobs out of my comfort zone, and also learning jobs I haven’t tried before.

  • Increased store appearance through diligent merchandising and regular upkeep of displays. - I often do and get requested by my manager to do this job as i have a good eye when it comes to what is in season/trending and looks good, ultimately catching the customers attention.
  • Interact with customers proactively, identifying needs and offering suitable product recommendations. This includes helping with sizes, certain styles and fabrics of clothing.
  • Provided exceptional support during peak hours over busy periods. This including the previous Christmas by managing long queues and multitasking effectively under pressure.
  • Contributed to a welcoming atmosphere through courteous interactions with both customers and fellow staff members.
  • Managing and organising stock.
