• Initial Assessment and triating
• Responsible for maintaining care standards in the emergency room
• Able to assess patient quickly, prioritize and assist in minor procedures
• Using equipment and administering medications as per the doctors order
• Able to arrange specialist consultation
• Referring patients if it is emergency

Duties and responsibilites:

• Responsible for total patient care including medicine administration and performing doctor's order's and treatment
• Pediatric and Neonatal resuscitation
• Handling syringe pumps and infusion pumps
• Organizing and administering vaccinations
• Handling phototherapy and incubators
• Blood and blood product transfusion
• EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
• Receiving patients in casualty
• Triages each patient and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs
• Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in casualty
• Performs focused assessment of chief complaints of each patients
• Assist physician with scheduled procedures or examination of the patient
• Maintain barrier nursing techniques and prevent cross infection
• Acts rapidly and effectively during emergency situation like Motor vehicle accidents, Cardiac Arrest, Myocardial Infarction, Heart Block, SVT, Vtac, AS, PEA etc, Respiratory Failure, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Sickle Cell Anemia Burns conditions need surgical emergencies and so on
• Administration of prescribed medications
• Ryles tube insertion
• Catheterization of female patients and bladder drainage
• Nebulization and Steam inhalation to patients
• Oro, Nasal as well as tracheal suctioning of patients
• Intravenous canulation and intravenous infusion therapy
• Clean and apply dressing and bandages on physical wounds of patients
• Collection of Urine, stool, sputum, blood samples for various investigations
• Maintain confidentiality of patient record.

Duties and responsibilites:

• Recording medical histories, performing diagnostic tests, analysing results, administering medications and helping patient's with rehabilitation
• Educating patient’s regarding their condition and providing advice or emotional support to them and their family as well
• Assisting in procedures such as endotracheal intubation and performing adult resuscitation.
