• Undertaking Inspections and Verifications of registered food businesses to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation, regulations, and by-laws.
  • Assisting with the registration of food businesses.
  • Licensing and inspections of health and hygiene activities and hairdressers.
  • Completing scheduled routine inspections and verifications,
• Manage workloads and workflows to ensure targets and KPIs are achieved
• Accurate recording of time and activities to enable cost recovery for all services provided in accordance with council policy
  • Maintaining inspection and/or verification records
  • Ensuring compliance with the Quality Management Systems and identification of ongoing improvements

· Provide strategic policy advice and technical support on all matters relating to Waste Management/Pollution Control legislation,rules and by-laws

Planning and coordinating implementation of waste management/pollution control plan in the country

· Mentoring, training and supervising staff

· Involved in social media campaigns to create awareness on environmental health issues of public health significance

• Responsible for the general administration and logistics of 4 district office.
• Engage with stakeholders in addressing environmental issues in the division
• Supervise general execution of the divisional environmental health connection plan and monitoring of performance
• Provide monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Plan and coordinate disaster response activities
