I have more than 25 years of aviation experience. of which I have worked 8 years in Maintenance Watch. Having worked in both MRO and airline environments, I have a good perception of the needs of the industry. Though primarily from an Avionics background, my experience as Maintenance Watch manager and Line Maintenance Manager with Jet airways and maintenance watch engineer and engineer defect analysis cell with Emirates airlines, has given me good exposure and understanding of airframe and engine trades. Having worked in both MRO and airline environments, I have a good perception of the needs of the industry. Though primarily from an Avionics background, my experience as maintenance watch team lead and line maintenance team lead with Jet airways and maintenance watch engineer and engineer defect analysis cell with Emirates airlines, has given me good exposure and understanding of airframe and engine trades. As a line maintenance manager with Jet airways, I was responsible for running safety campaign at line maintenance department. I have conducted number of safety classes to my colleagues which include safety policy and objectives, safety responsibilities, safety risk management, safety promotion and safety assurance. As part of safety assurance, I was a part of an audit team which conducted safety audits.
Successfully led a project at Jet airways to eliminate the mismatch of stored aircraft parts and the available parts reflected in AMOS, a software solution used by MRO and airlines.
As a maintenance manager I have conducted training classes for my mechanics mainly on safety aspects of working on the aircraft and imparted limited technical knowledge to help them understand the systems and generate enthusiasm in them to work towards career progression.
I was a part of a project at Emirates airlines working towards electronic technical logs and paperless cockpit.
At Vayudoot airlines; a relatively new airline then, I have fabricated a test bench to test Rockwell Collins VOR receiver VIR 30 which helped company from not investing for a new test setup. I have received an appreciation for my work from chief engineering manager.
