I am a very motivated and driven person that has a very good work ethic attitude.I am a retired veteran having served in the NZ Military Army for 32 years and during this time obtained man management, organisational and communication skills to a high level. I am currently engaged as an adult apprentice in the trade of carpentry with my current employer Leighs Construction LTD working on the new build extension at the Taranaki Base Hospital Project. I am in my 4th year with approximately 6 - 8 months left on my level 4 Carpentry qualification.I am also a qualified painter by trade so I have approx 15 years plus experience in the construction industry.I have experience in both residentual and commercial construction. I am very motivated and determined to complete my apprenticeship in Carpentry as the type of work involved is very challenging and rewarding.I want to persue a leadership role once I am qualified to further my career as my goal is to establish my own business. I have my own transport, carpentry tools so self sufficient in this area, I am a family orientated person spending a lot of my spare time with close family and friends. I am married with 3 adult children and grand children.I love the outdoors often bike riding when we can, a regular gym attendee to keep fit and healthy and like most Kiwis an avid sports fanatic especially where NZ is involved. I am a very driven person willing to listen and learn as I have an open mind with a flexible attitude.
