Following the birth of my second child I returned to work and have since worked solely in Urgent Care, leaving for a period with he birth of my third child.
Urgent Care requires expert assessment skills along with quick decision making and the ability to work well within a team.
There are long period of time where we are required to work without the cover of a doctor on site and relying on our assessment skills and the use of emergency consult doctors for anything that's not covered by our comprehensive Standing Orders

This was my first employment as a registered nurse following completing my training in Brisbane Australia and moving to New Zealand. I moved away for a time and returned to work at Hauora Hokianga Rawene following the birth of my first child. During this time I worked as a nurse on the ward which also covered after hours accident and emergency and our three maternity beds.
