Current Situation

In June 2021 I decided to retire from my day to day role as CEO of NZ Honey Group, a business that I helped commence. One of my shareholder / partners has taken the reigns with myself remaining as Finance Director on a casual part-time basis.

The business is in the process of sale allowing me to pursue other challenges and am available for immediate start.

Since June 2021 I have taken so time out and completed a bike ride the length of New Zealand, 3,100 kms over one month, taken on business mentoring and for the past 6 months operated as a tour guide from Auckland and Queenstown, also on a casual part-time basis.

  • Major shareholder, initially purchasing Happy Valley Honey NZ Ltd, then merging six companies into one,
  • Staff of 55 at peak of honey season
  • Sales in 2009 $600k by 2021 - $13mil. Improved EBITDA line from zero to average over $4m on an annual basis.
  • Covered as Finance Director while being CEO as well,
  • Developed key operational initiatives to drive and maintain substantial business growth.
  • Maintained effective staff and resource utilization rates to balance financial and operational obligations.
  • Drove implementation of new market expansion to propel business forward and adapt to market changes.
