Telecommunications Rope Access Technician
Completion of wireless (LTE, 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, Microwave), electrical, and civil infrastructure construction projects for the leading telecommunications equipment manufacturers, carriers and ICT network providers Australia wide.
Proven Experience in Structural Rigging. • Twin rope access, IRATA standard, work carried out on high rise building and towers with application of twin rope maneuvers and techniques. • Performing all installs pertaining to 2G, 3G, 4G 5G and LTE. • Installs including maintenance of all services. • Proven Experience in fault finding & testing and ability to use Site Master & PIM Tester. • Green field guyed mast, tower and monopole construction and civil ground works. • Steelwork and civil strengthening upgrade of existing telecommunications sites. • Installing of telecommunication antennas, Yagis, Dipoles, MW’s, ODU’s, MHA’s, TMA’s and RRU’s. • Installing of coaxial cable, waveguide, cable connectors, cable clamping, earthing and ground kits. • Installation and commissioning of microwave equipment. • Checking, maintain and operating plant and equipment in accordance with the requirements of safety, efficiency and calibration procedures. • Experience in completing handover documentation on site. • Ensuring that OH&S Policy & Procedure requirements are observed and followed. • Completing all tasks to a high quality standard in compliance with Customer and Company’s Rigging procedures. • Working at heights certified with the ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly (i.e. climbing up to 130 metres). • Telecommunications tower construction / maintenance rigging experience. • Solid knowledge of rigging techniques and best practice. • A current High Risk Certificate in Rigging. • Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practice • RF EME awareness. • License to work / Client Inductions for Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, Semiens, Nortel, Telstra, Vodafone and Optus
