  • I currently work as a cleaner primarily for new build houses, renovations, and move out cleans
  • The job can be physically demanding as this role sometimes has me working independently or part of a small team where we travel and work across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato region
  • My supervisor role includes driving the company car, overseeing the other staff members, sending daily reports to project managers, cleaning the whole interior/exteriors of the house while ensuring the company's health & safety protocols
  • I have to adapt onsite when coordinating with other industry trades to access different parts of the property to clean and keep within the time allowed for the job

  • I had two roles working behind the bar and front of house
  • My responsibilities included serving food and beverages, stocking the chiller, keeping the bar area clean, cleaning tables and dishes, setting up functions, setting up dinner bookings and counting the tills at the end of the shift
  • The main priority of this job was to take care of the customers
  • I learnt I could handle this high-pressure environment as most nights were very busy and fast paced
  • I frequently got comments from customers and management about my ability to provide a wonderful customer experience

  • I was employed part time during my school years where I would work early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Originally my job included setting up the shop, grading and displaying produce, serving customers at the checkout, and checking quality of produce before being placed in the store for sale
  • During my first year of university, we were in lockdown for 2 months where I balanced my studies and continued to work for the wholesale department of the company where I packed online orders for customers
  • During my last year of school and my time at university I was promoted to supervisor of the shop over the weekends where I would oversee the daily operations of the staff, was in charge of opening and locking up the store and counting and locking up the tills at the end of the shifts
