I have been working at coast kids Papamoa for 8 years.

In the school term I am a team leader which is looking after the children after school, doing different activities, taking kids to after school activities such as swimming and making sure the kids are safe and having fun.

In the holidays I have been a supervisor which is running a holiday program, making sure children are doing activities, managing staff and letting them know the plan of the day and ensuring they are involved with the children’s activities. I also have to deal with any behaviour related issues and talking to parents when needed.

Over a year ago I did take over the management position for 2 months while they were looking for a permanent manager. I did the rosters, shopping, organised daily plans, a pointed different activities for the staff to do, built relationships with parents and children and made sure the after school program ran smoothly.
