Mercy Gaylene Anahera Tararo

Weymouth,Auckland

Summary

As a wife and mum of three, I understand the importance of nurturing children’s growth. I believe that building trustful relationships is key to fostering their development. In my most recent role as a breastfeeding advocate, I worked closely with hapū māmā and their whānau to provide holistic care, supporting them throughout the antenatal and postnatal stages, focusing on breastfeeding and overall well-being.

Additionally, I have served as a kids' teacher at my church, The Render Gathering, and as a Bible study teacher in the Clendon community. In these roles, I was part of a team that fostered safe, engaging spaces for tamariki to grow in their faith and learning. My experience in after-school care further allowed me to support tamariki through fun, interactive activities that fostered their academic, social, and emotional development.

These experiences have strengthened my commitment to working with children and their whānau, building a strong foundation for my teaching career. I am excited to continue on this path, helping children feel valued, supported, and empowered.
