My name is Merekaraka Te Ra Ngarimu Tuhaka, and I am excited to embark on my journey into the world beyond Kura. Over the years, I have developed a diverse skill set and a strong foundation of experiences that have prepared me for the next chapter of my life.

I am passionate and dedicated individual with a strong commitment to making a positive impact in both healthcare and environmental fields. My future professional aspiration is to study nursing and care for people.

I am also eager to expand my knowledge and skills within the environmental space particularly focusing on freshwater, native flora and fauna.

I bring a caring and reliable demeanor to all my endeavors, paired with a deep sense of empathy. My experience as a student representative has developed my leadership and communication skills, and my involvement in sports and community activities demonstrates my teamwork and dedication. I am driven to contribute meaningfully to my Whanau, Hapu & Iwi .

I am an enthusiastic athlete, actively participating in badminton, netball, and kio rahi. My involvement in these sports has developed my teamwork, agility, and strategic thinking. Each game has offered unique challenges and opportunities for growth, contributing to my overall physical fitness and competitive spirit.

As a student representative on the school board for the past two years, I have actively worked to improve the school experience for my peers. I have played a key role in updating the school uniform to reflect the preferences of my fellow students, assisted with securing school funding, and established a school council. This council serves as a platform for generating ideas and initiatives to make our school a place where students feel motivated and excited to attend.
