Current poistion is Technical Lead at the Roadscience laboratory in Tauranga.

I currently manage the internal and external calibration of all the equipment in the Laboratory as well and the maintenance and repair of all the equipment. This requires that i have a good understanding of the calibration requirements for all the tests that are currently on the laboratories scope as well as a understanding of have to operate all the equipment. I have also develop a paperless system of calibration worksheets and reporting that includes Uncertainty of Measurement for all calibrated equipment.

Completing testing in the laboratory which includes.

Bitumen and Emulsion testing, Asphalt testing, Aggregate testing and field testing.

I currently have IANZ signatory in 4.01 Aggregates and 4.02 Bituminous Material.

Completing internal audits of other Roadscience laboratories ensuring that the laboratories are meeting the requirements of the Roadscience Quality Manual and that of ISO17025.

KTP assessments of other Roadscience Staff.

Training of new staff members.

I also have and understanding of some concrete testing, including slump, sampling of fresh concrete, preparation of concrete cylinders and compressive strength of concrete.

I have also worked on a number of projects including the resurfacing of Queenstown Airport runway, Kaikoura SH1 Rebuild (NCTIR). SH2 Haywards interchange Wellington. Turitea Windfarm.

Senior laboratory Technician for Downers Perth Western Australia. NATA accredited laboratory. ISO 17025.

In this position worked mostly on remote satellite laboratories in Geraldton, Karratha, Newman.

Quality control testing of asphalt production, field testing (NDM and coring), aggregate testing to MRWA standards.

As well as helping with the running of asphalt plants, and maintenance of the asphalt plants and other equipment.

Also complete two Airport Runway projects, the Christmas Creek Runway and the resurfacing of East Kimberley Regional Airport (Kununurra)

Completed 1 year as a laboratory Technician at Douglas Partners, NATA accredited laboratory, ISO 17025. testing Soils and Aggregates, level 1 and 2 compactions control onsite testing.

I completed 8 years at Fulton Hogan Laboratory Auckland IANZ accredited laboratory, ISO 17025. First as a Laboratory Technician then Senior Laboratory Technician then as Laboratory Supervisor. 6 years as a IANZ signatory.

Testing asphalt, aggreates, soils, concrete, feild testing bitumen and emulsions.

During this time I was also involved site project work that included the SH 20 extention through Hillsborough and Mt Roskill and SH1 Taupo Bypass. As a site technician, doing NDM testing on soils, NDM testing of basecouse, scalas, Clegg Hammers, Benkelman beam testing, shear vane, NDM compaction control of asphalt, coring of asphalt.

I complete 2 years as a Site Engineer at Fulton Hogan Christchurch. (2002-2004) working on two main projects during that time, The Nelson Water Treatment Plant and an extention to the Riccarton Mall.
