  • (1)Subcontractor pre-qualication conrms and reviews SSSP, JSEA, Training records, Risk register, hazardous goods assessments prior to contractor engagement
  • (2) Advise, problem solve, coach and mentor Supervisors, Subcontractor employees
  • (3) Identify critical risk tasks at pre-planned meetings and plan mitigation to ensure that all controls are established and clearly understood by all involved with the operations, ie People /plant interactions across site locations
  • This involved sitting down with key subcontractors and devising and installing an eective trac management process which provides clear pedestrian delineations across the site location, putting in place key access egress points for pedestrians and installing sensors at these points which sounded a high-pitched alarm as a vehicle was approaching
  • This had the eect of reducing near-miss occurrences with people and mobile plant

  • (1)Identied potential critical risk works in advance of commencement, brought in contractors responsible for identied tasks and formulated plans to execute task safety and within expected guidelines
  • This included task specic JSEA, permit requirements and conrming related competencies
  • Prior to the works commencing, all documentation was peer-reviewed
  • (2) Due to language issues in some locations, we had key documents translated into the local language (Gilbertese) to deliver key safety messages to the local work force
  • (3)Identied several locals who had English and trained them to assist with Pre-starts, tool boxes and to assist with training
