- Core demands for the role focused on the design, development, test and release of RPA (robotic process automation) systems for implementation in to the business;
- Key skills included excellent technical knowledge, programming knowledge, understanding of workflow based logic, strong attention to detail and analytical skills combined with strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills;
- Requirements for this project included but were not limited to building a comprehensive test plan, estimating test effort and managing completion dates according to client expectations. Test requirements included (but were not limited to) completing unit/component testing, integration testing, system testing and user acceptance testing
- My main accountability was leading the Mandate Variation automation, which was a multi-faceted process with varying levels of complexity. Initial focus was on mapping out the fundamental end to end process with a business SME and developing a template solution for the simplest type of request, which could then be enhanced for the more complex request types. An overall benefit of 8FTE was realised once the solution was fully embedded in to the business;
- Secondary accountabilities included working with partners from EY on several back office processes. My key responsibilities on these projects included the following:
- Producing any governance documentation required to progress through the project lifecycle;
- Collaborating with key risk and compliance colleagues to ensure that projects adhered to the agreed upon scope and boundaries;
- Engaging with senior business stakeholders for sign off at key project milestones;
- Testing automated solutions to ensure they were robust and stable prior to implementation;
- Managing the transitional phase for solutions which were new to the business, before handing over to a central team which assumed responsibility for the day to day running of fully operational solutions.
