Since joining the firm, I have developed extensive experience working alongside private sector and government entities to support their long term strategic objectives. I have worked across sectors, including Energy, Aviation, Education and Housing. My key expertise and projects include:

• Energy transition strategies: Conducted analysis of a 1,200MW thermal power station for New Zealand's leading energy provider, Genesis Energy (NZE: GNE), to determine its market position. Evaluated CAPEX options, fuel transition strategies (biomass, LNG), and derivative alternatives.
• Financial models: Built and optimised financial models for a $150M, 100MW/200MWh battery storage project for Genesis Energy, leading to investment approval. Evaluated financial viability of solar and wind assets, shaping Genesis Energy's long-term investment strategy.
• Commercial advice: Developed a sustainable aviation fuel policy statement for Air New Zealand (NZ: AIR), New Zealand's largest airline, by analysing commercial risks and providing advice on commercial structuring.
• PPP structuring and financing: Provided strategic, financial, and commercial advice for the expansion of five PPP schools with total capex value of $280m. This involved developing a business case.

During my 2.5 years in audit, I led comprehensive audits for various clients across multiple sectors, including a high-profile water council-controlled entity. My key experiences include:

• Internal controls and business process reviews: Conducted thorough reviews of internal controls and business processes, delivering actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
• Risk assessment: Executed risk assessments to identify material and high-risk balances, establishing effective testing approaches.
• Substantive testing: Performed substantive testing to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
• Continuous improvement: Identified and recommended potential improvements based on audit findings, driving operational enhancements.
