This course is about what's beneath the surface and that is intriguing . All of my study in school such as social studies and English classes has prepared me to be a person who can analyze and dissect complex issues. I want to use this degree to help my community and people similar to my mum. Outgoing Volunteer providing experience helping non-profit organization with daily tasks and needs. Driven by cause to work diligently to accomplish measurable impact.

• Wellington, New Zealand, Wellington, New Zealand, as a helper, 11/2021, 11/2021, This was a volunteer position and I worked there for a total of 8hrs doing community service and baby sitting. This was something I enjoyed as it felt good giving back to the community.
• Nae Nae Boxing Academy, Wellington, New Zealand, 06/2019, 01/2021, I practiced at Nae Nae Boxing with my friend during my school years and learnt about discipline and hard work as the sessions were fast paced and required high levels of effort and practice.

• Boxing is a sport that I enjoy as its all about discipline
• Politics is something that I am passionate about since it affects us in so many ways
• History is something that my brother introduced me more to as a child and I have loved it ever since.
• I love music as it is a form of art and every song is an expression of the artist and what they want to convey

I was raised in a multilingual household by my mother who is a refugee from Somalia who came in 1998. I am naturally hardworking as I knew from an early age that I had be successful in order to in the future provide my mother with an even better life. I initially wished to become a civil engineer as that was the career my brother chose so I studied for a degree in it at WelTec. However It was not my passion and I feel that it is better to chart your own path in life, so I decided that I would apply for Victoria to gain a degree in political science as politics has always interested me. With this I hope to enter into a job in which I can help people similar to my family while doing something I love.
