• Responsible for successful delivery of technical projects. This includes defining project scope, developing project plans, allocating resources, managing risks and issues, tracking progress, and ensuring that project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Working across multiple teams and leaders in Product, Design, Architecture and Engineering to ensure Engineering Initiatives are appropriately represented in Quarterly Planning and in Product Roadmaps.
• Governing the Engineering Metrics that helps to measure the performance and efficiency of the applications. It also helps to drive continuous improvement, leading to better outcomes for the team.
• Working closely with Architects and Tech leads for high level system design and ADRs. Collaborate closely with them on technical design discussions, providing technical expertise, ensuring scalability and maintainability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This ensures that the system design is effective, efficient, and meets the organisation's needs.
• Work with SaaS solution providers to effectively manage the onboarding and adoption of SaaS products and tooling.
• Effectively Managing Stakeholders by identifying and prioritising their needs, establishing communication channels and regularly communicating with them to manage their expectations around the scope and delivery. Ensuring that the performance of all my teams are actively measured and monitored. Impediments are identified as quickly as possible and actively managed to resolve.
• Working with my group's people and engineering leaders to ensure that the proper training and tooling are allocated to teams to balance working styles, experience, capability and career aspirations.
• Ensuring that people management processes are followed, including personal development plans, objectives and key results, performance management, regular 1:1s, succession planning, etc for Tech Leads and engineering community.
• Led cross-functional teams for successful product development, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.

In this role I was responsible for leading and growing a product engineering team of ~10 engineers, which also included Lead Engineers. Recruitment, and onboarding was major part of my role in supporting the scaling vision of Xero. I worked on delivering customer outcomes by driving collective goals by working alongside leaders from Product Management, Design, Engineering and Architecture, delivery, technical, people leadership and engineering excellence.

• Talk with all appropriate areas of the organization to understand the inputs, outputs, and feedback loops in my team's value stream.
• Ensure your team understands and adheres to modern engineering practices in line with organization objectives.
  Work closely with products and align them with engineering vision and target state architecture.
• Ensure the health of all the team's products is well understood by the team, discoverable by the wider organization, and able to be addressed should problems occur.
• Meet regularly with my reports, drive each of my people to become the highest performing version of themselves they can be, using a variety of techniques, which may include performance feedback, career development with competency frameworks, coaching and mentoring, regular 1:1 and providing them with learning and growth opportunities.

• Assist the teams in contributing to and translating architecture into a technical vision and roadmap
• Coaching and mentoring Engineers across 8 teams.
• Identifying and resolving architectural/operational issues that help the teams to deliver faster, more effectively, which contributes to Product growth
• Collaborate with Tech Leads to champion and drive engineering principles and practices across chapters/guilds.
• Provide guidance on non-functional design elements and practices for security, scalability and performance, monitoring and alerting, analytics, documentation and quality.
• Collaboratively worked with Third Party vendors and Architecture to onboard the SaaS products that were required for the critical delivery roadmaps.
