Colonial War Memorial Hospital is a government-owned hospital with 148 beds.
It is the main teaching hospital in Central Division and has the largest maternity unit in Fiji called Anderson Maternity Unit.
In its birthing unit, it has highly trained professional midwives.
Colonial War Memorial Hospital caters for Medical and Nursing students and professionals from neighbouring Pacific Islands like Tuvalu and Nauru.
All wards the nurse reports to the sister in charge of the ward.
Assist medical officers in complex investigations.
Inform patients on the importance of continuity of care at the clinic.
Monitoring of the fetus- by CTG
Administer medications and intravenous infusion fluids to women as per the treatment sheet.
That was an incredible milestone in my nursing journey! Having my case study considered for publication in a nursing journal is a testament to my dedication, expertise, and contributions to the field. It means that my insights and research could potentially inform and inspire other healthcare professionals, shaping best practices and improving patient care.
